Additional Info: Perry, I just finished reading your book “Hero” and I wanted to let you know that it was possibly the best book I have read in a very long time. I think what I liked most about it is that the main character is someone that I have something in common with and can relate to. (Despite me being in my mid-twenties and he being in late teens.) I have read a few gay themed books, and seen my share of movies but they are all generally lame. They are either cut-my-wrists coming out stories, over sexed and bordering on porn, or campy and tacky as hell. Your book on the other hand has given me exactly what I want. A story with a realistic gay character who isn''t exploited or cliché, someone that you could easily meet on the streets, be friends with and not the stereotypical wrist flapper, closet case or drama queen. I will definitely buy/ read any further books like this that you may publish, and I do look forward to seeing them. Again, thank you so very much for a wonderful book. David
